If you follow my Instagram feed, you would already know my love for healthy eating {I try my best to eat clean} and smoothies which I am particularly obsessed with. Although with my sweet tooth, I will equally comfortably leap off a plane in London and head to Govindas for their heavenly delectable vegan cakes I miss back here in Mumbai.
Now who doesn't know the importance of a good breakfast? From a no breakfast person I have gradually graduated to one of those people who need pretty substantial meal right in the morning to keep me up and steady. With my newly acquired love for smoothies {its been a year and a half} I have been experimenting with several concoctions to keep my breakfast filling and palatable. And trust me a glass of smoothie can really keep your food cravings at bay if you start to get hungry early on.
Mango and Avocado Smoothie is one of my favourites in summers. I prefer using fresh ingredients and completely avoid frozen fruits considering there are so many different fruit options to throw in a yummy smoothie every season.
Mango and Avocado Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 ripe mango (Alphonso have a great flavour but you can take your pick) - pitted, peeled and cubed
- 1 ripe avocado - pitted, peeled and cubed
- 1/2 apple (adds a nice flavour and taste) - pitted, peeled and cubed
- 1 glass orange juice (or as per required consistency)
- Few blueberries (optional), flax seeds and chia seeds for topping
Instructions
- Toss mango, avocado and apple in a blender and blend it on the highest setting
- Throw in orange juice and mix until all ingredients are thoroughly blended
- Pour smoothie in a glass and top it with blueberries, chia seeds and flax seeds
Besides being delicious, this creamy smoothie boosts my energy (thanks to avocados) that keeps me focused throughout the day. For more smoothie inspirations follow my Instagram.

While I was scrambling through my pictures to decide how do I end this post in style, epiphany struck me and this cheery yellow smoothie reminded me of my yellow midi skirt. This is how I wore it the second time around (see how I wore it earlier).
Asos midi skirt, Warehouse denim jacket and top, Zara heels and DvF Tonda clutch (vegetarian)

Enjoy!!
