Hasn't this week been too long already? Thank god the weekend is here. Here are 5 ways to make this weekend interesting. Would love to hear which ones did you try and some suggestions.

1. Tickle your Funny Bones
Break your epoch of monotony, loosen up and have some fun this weekend. And there could be no better way to do it than watching a good Comedian doing the act for you. Check out the best stand up comedy acts playing in your town this weekend and book your tickets.
The Comedy Store (Mumbai, London, Manchester) offers the best in alternative stand-up, topical and improvised comedy almost every weekend featuring the finest comedians from around the world on its stage.
And Mumbaikars if you're lucky, Vir Das could be playing his famous 'History of India' act in town. You must not miss it, it would be one of the most hilarious one-hour of your life. I've never laughed so much as I did in his stand-up. The guy is brilliant. Instead of fretting and complaining about the decaying state of the country's circus freak government, it's time you laugh it out with his wittiness.

2. Have friends over for a (virgin) drink party
Having your besties over is the best way to spend the weekend, so why not invite a few good friends for evening Fruitails (the better version of cocktail). Fix some interesting fresh fruit drinks (with no nasties) and a few healthy nibbles (I am thinking Grilled Avocado and some Interesting Salads) (few cupcakes won't hurt either). Serve them with your long-waited conversation (and your friends will love you for the glow they'll have on their faces tomorrow aka FUN+NUTRIENTS).
Why not get some beautiful glassware and serving dishes for the occasion to make it a pretty get-together. Not sure how to pull-it all together? Get some ideas on how to prep for home get-together from HWTM.
For Mumbaikars, Good Earth is a treasure hunt to find beautiful glasses, crockery and serving ideas (I can never get enough of their glasses, crockery and other goodies). Don't want to break your bank balance? Try scouring local stores for finding good-looking-bargains or you can DIY at home.
And don't forget to wear your baubles to enjoy a glass of delectable drink (guilt-free)

3. Play dress up and paint the town red

Blow off all the plans. Its time to wear paint your lips with brightest colour from your lipstick box, wear matching shoes and a neon dress, team it with a smart bag and head to a nice coffee shop on your own. Some 'me' time in a cafe is the best way to spend a few hours on a weekend (carry a book or visit book shop+cafe). If its getting chilly, a smart jacket or a trench would be a nice addition to rock the interesting jacket that would be impossible in summer days.
Moshe's in Mumbai is a great cafe to satisfy your sweet tooth craving (they have a good selection of veg desserts) or have a cup of hot chocolate (very few places in Mumbai makes them right). Bombay Baking Co. at JW Marriott Juhu is another good cafe and bakery to sit and enjoy your weekend afternoon. Their vegetarian croissants are mouth watering and they have a book shop and international food section in the bakery that would be an added bonus to easily spend some time all by yourself.
4. Shake a leg
You're never too old or busy to enjoy a good night out in a hip club and shake a leg. Good music, dance beats or karaoke, never a bad thing every once in a while, considering you stay sober and don't lose out on nasties.
If you're in Bombay, head out to F-Bar - one of the newest lounge in town with a plush restaurant (lounge turns into a club on weekends after 10pm). So let your hair down and have some fun. If you're in the mood for karaoke, try Blue Frog - they play Karaoke night every once in a while.
5. Pinterest your wardrobe organisation
Is the mess created week-after-week in the wardrobe craving for re-organisation? Re-arranging the wardrobe (or even your room) is no more a daunting job. Pinterest is a great inspiration and motivation to get it sorted this weekend. It will be fun and you'll love it once the job is done.
And once you're done, why not click a few good pictures and pin them on your pinterest board? Let others be inspired.
P.S. if you don't yet have a Pinterest Account its time you get one now.
