Just a few years ago, the list of restaurants that served vegan food in Dubai would have been painfully short. Now, you are spoilt for choice and it’s hard to narrow down the options; thanks to the plant-based revolution in its full force. And with good reason. Taking off animal products from your diet is not only great for your health but also for the planet. I'm not saying it, its proven by science.
Researchers at the University of Oxford found that cutting meat and dairy products from your diet could reduce an individual's carbon footprint from food by up to a whopping 73 percent.
When it comes to breakfasts we all love one that's packed with flavor, taste and nutrition. In the last few years, the obsession with wellness in Dubai has gone through the roof, and the city had an explosion of workout studios, juice bars, and turmeric everything. And nowhere is this more apparent as on the food front. The falafel-and-karak chai culture of Dubai has evolved. In its place, green smoothies, and superfood lattes powered with all manner of healthy extracts have taken over.
This means you can enjoy a scrumptious breakfast, indulge in it heartfully with no guilt later. I've listed down three cool cafes in Dubai that serve amazing vegan breakfast with great views and vibes. From the perfect view of the beach to the lush green garden cafe in the middle of the desert - these places will leave you pleasantly full.
Wild and the Moon
The Parisian cafe focuses on healthy food, cold-pressed juice and nut mylks that are delicious and flavorful. This super hip and chic cafe is one of the long-standing vegan places in town that's become a favorite with even the locals. Their all-day breakfast menu with everything from vegan waffles and smoothie bowl, will not disappoint you.
They have multiple branches in Dubai, including their original Al Serkal café, but my favorite is the one in Downtown because of the location. Once you finish a delicious meal, you can stroll right behind at the Palace Downtown Hotel for great pictures and fantastic Burj Khalifa views.
Must try: Their orange blossom pancakes and matcha mylk. Oh and anything with feta cheese - its too good.
Seva Table
This villa-style vegan café in Dubai nestled in a garden is a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of Dubai. The moment you enter the place, you are transported to a zen-like atmosphere where you unplug with all the stress and worries and connect with your soul. It connects you to a slow living experience - that's conscious, nourishing, and positive.
It is undoubtedly one of my favorite places in town for its amazing breakfast and desserts.
And the food is just too good. Almost everything they serve is organic and mostly seasonal and the food is free from gluten, cane sugar, soy, GMO and transfats. This garden-café claims to be plastic-free too!
Must try: Vegan nachos, snickers cake and deep cacao love (their version of indulgent hot chocolate).
Koko Bay
This beach-side café with Bali vibes will instantly perk up your mood. The cafe is very tastefully decorated in beachy-Bali style and is set on an incredible location right up on Palm beach overlooking Dubai Marina skyline. They have lots of vegan options on the menu including smoothies and tofu scramble. Must-Try: Avocado toast topped with tofu scramble.
